Background & Experience
JoAnne Guzzi is a dedicated public servant with eight years of experience in the Bonner County court system, including five years as a sworn Deputy Clerk and the past three years serving as Judicial Assistant to the Presiding District Judge. Through her work, JoAnne has developed a deep understanding of the Clerk's Office and the critical role it plays in maintaining transparency, efficiency, and public trust in county government.
Prior to her service in Bonner County, JoAnne worked directly with the Humboldt County District Attorney's Office as part of a multidisciplanary team dedicated to investigating and prosecuting crimes against children. In this role, she collaborated with Child Protective Service, law enforcement, investigators, and vicitms services professionals to ensure coordinated, victim-centered case handling.
JoAnne also served as the Coordinator of the Child Abuse Services Team, where she helped organize and streamline interagency responses to protect vulnerable children. In addition, she held a leadership role as Vice Chair of the Sexual Assault Response Team, working to improve communication, protocols, and outcomes for victims of sexual violence. Her commitment to community collaboration extended further through her participation on multiple steering committees focused on strengthening relationships between tribal communities and city and county officials.
She is a certified paralegal, bringing an additional layer of legal knowledge, precision, and professionalism to her work in public service.
